Amit Katti

Amit Katti has a diverse range of work experience. Amit started their career as a Research Intern at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, where they worked on developing a Recursive Linear Kalman Filter. Amit then became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at George Mason University, where they assisted faculty members with instruction and mentoring in telecommunications and wireless communication networks.

After that, Amit worked as an Associate Solutions Engineer at Genesys and as an RF Engineer at Crown Castle USA. While at Crown Castle, they tested and optimized DAS networks and wireless networks. Amit also gained experience as an RF Analyst at Global Wireless Solutions, where they validated RF drive test data for AT&T and other organizations.

Amit later joined Hughes Network Systems as an Engineer II, where they were responsible for pre-sales and technical marketing activities. Amit designed satellite networks using the Hughes' JUPITER VSAT platform and created technical content for customers.

Amit then worked as a Customer Solutions Engineer at ST Engineering iDirect, where they designed connectivity solutions for Telcos and COMSATCOM Service Providers.

Amit also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at George Mason University, teaching courses in telecommunications.

Amit'smost recent role was as the Director of Systems Engineering at SES Space & Defense. There, they developed and implemented systems engineering processes, led teams, and drove the creation of innovative near-space network solutions.

Amit Katti holds a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering with a concentration in Wireless Communication Systems from George Mason University. Amit obtained this degree between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, which they completed from 2008 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Amit Katti has a CERG-WIRE (Wireless Proficiency Certificate) from George Mason University, which they obtained in May 2014. Amit also has certifications in Python Data Structures and Programming for Everybody - Getting Started with Python from Coursera, obtained in 2017 and 2016 respectively.
