John Phillips, BBA, SecPlus has extensive work experience in the field of satellite and network operations support. John began their career in 2001 with the United States Air Force, where they held various technical and supervisory roles, including Command and Control Systems Division Supervisor and Section Chief Radio Frequency Systems. In these positions, they managed communications equipment, oversaw facility operations, and implemented infrastructure upgrades.
After leaving the military, John worked at Joint Communications Support Element as a Section Chief Joint Tactical Communications. In this role, they led a team that deployed communications systems to support national objectives and managed a multimillion-dollar command and control system.
John's experience also includes working at Leonardo DRS and SES Space & Defense as a Senior Communications Technician and Senior Engineer PMO, respectively. John Phillips obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2015. John then pursued their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business/Commerce, General from Trident University International, from 2017 to 2019. In October 2017, they also obtained a Professional Manager Certification from the Community College of the Air Force. Later, in June 2020, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA.
