The Marketing Events Coordinator Apprenticeship Role

The key aspects to this role will be: Event coordination, synchronization and communication with involved teams, feedback and intel gathering for metrics and ROI related to events.

Key Activities

  • Event management
    • Source events - Lead and execute the events sourcing exercise, and presenting them to CMO
    • Planning & coordination - Handle the event logistics and team coordination timely (planification, sending materials, manage communications, etc.)
    • Communication - Ensure all involved parties are communicated at all times
    • Analysis - Conduct post-events analysis by ensuring project KPIs are meticulously tracked, measured and reported
    • Manage events end-to-end process - Sourcing, planning, coordination, communication, and analysis. 
  • Events organization
    • Plan and organize small local events for the sales team - Assist sales team members at creating, communicating and organizing small gatherings with prospects and clients
  • Budget
    • Manage tradeshow budgets - Accurately account for all budget expenses, including detailed tracking and reporting of costs

Desired Background and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

Experience

  • A previous experience in event management would be a plus

Skills

  • Technical 
    • Good knowledge of Excel / Google Spreadsheets is a must
    • Strong English proficiency is a must. French proficiency is desirable.
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Good people coordination. Clear, thoughtful communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills
    • Metrics-driven with strong analytical skills
    • Resourceful - has the ability to find solutions to daily challenges
    • Ability to consistently set and meet deadlines
    • Basic marketing skills and knowledge
    • Basic knowledge of finance and the financial industry is a plus 
  • Soft Skills
    • Outstanding organizational skills
    • Fast learner and teamplayer 
    • Comfortable working in English and within a technical environment
    • Negotiation skills: part of the event sourcing will be negotiations with external vendors, and colleagues to ensure everything goes smoothly.
