Lukas Fröhlich

Lukas Fröhlich has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2011 when they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at GETRAG FORD Transmissions. In 2012 they were a Teaching Assistant at ETH Zurich. In 2016 they were a Software Engineer Internship at Volkswagen of America, Inc. From 2017 to 2020 they were a PhD Student at Bosch, where they worked on Bayesian Optimization with application to reinforcement learning and optimal control, supervised by Prof. Melanie Zeilinger of ETH Zurich. Currently, they are a Planning & Control Engineer at Sevensense Robotics.

Lukas Fröhlich began their educational journey in 2002 when they attended Irmgardis Gymnasium Köln and earned their Abitur. From 2011 to 2014, they attended ETH Zürich and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. From 2014 to 2017, they attended ETH Zürich again and earned a Master of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. Lukas is currently working towards a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at ETH Zürich, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
