Russell Scheerer

Russell Scheerer has worked in the software engineering field since 2002. Russell began their career at IBM Software Group as a Staff Software Engineer, where they won an internal code generation contest and served as lead developer for two projects. In 2007, they moved to OneAmerica as a Web Developer, where they updated existing sites to conform to a new common look and feel. From 2009 to 2013, they worked at Interactions as a Senior Software Engineer, designing and implementing various aspects of a call handling platform. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at NextGear Capital as a Senior Software Developer, acting as a technical lead resource for various aspects of the software development organization. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at Blackboard as a Senior Software Engineer, serving on a team responsible for creating public REST APIs to Blackboard's critical data points. Since 2018, they have been working at CleanSlate TG as a Technical Architect and Senior Consultant. In 2021, they moved to SFOX as a Senior Software Engineer and Interactions LLC as a Principal Software Engineer.

Russell Scheerer obtained a B.S. in Computer Science from Ball State University between 1998 and 2001. In March 2021, they earned a Triplebyte Certified Java Engineer certification from Triplebyte.
