Jonathan Lum has worked in various roles since 1995. Jonathan began their career as a Technical Support Officer at the Singapore Police Force in 1995. In 1997, they joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Technology & Operations Analyst, and subsequently held roles as Business Technology Infrastructure Manager, Demand Manager and Infrastructure Planning & Portfolio Management, Asia. In 2010, they moved to UOB, where they served as Assistant Vice President, IT Procurement and Assistant Vice President, Risk Management Team. In 2015, they began working at Eighteen Chefs Group as Manager (CEO Office), Purchasing Executive and Special Projects Lead, and later as Restaurant Manager. In 2021, they joined Pezzo as Assistant Operations Manager and SGeBIZ as Customer Success Manager.

Jonathan Lum attended Victoria School from 1984 to 1988, where they studied G.C.E. O Level. From 1989 to 1992, they attended Ngee Ann Polytechnic and studied Electrical Engineering. In 1995, they attended Staffordshire University to study Information Systems and National Computing Centre to study Computer Studies.
