Keith Palmer, PhD, SE, PE, currently serves as Associate Principal and Senior Project Manager at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) since April 2013. Prior to this role, Keith worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington from 2010 to January 2013, focusing on the seismic behavior and design of steel concentrically braced frame systems. Keith's career also includes experience as an Associate and Structural Engineer at HGA from 1999 to August 2006, where responsibilities included the design and detailing of various structural systems for diverse building types, particularly in university and healthcare projects. Keith holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Washington, an M.S.C.E. in Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering in Structural Engineering from Penn State University.
