Shawn Choo

Shawn Choo has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. From 2022 to the present, they have worked at SGX Group, first as a Vice President and then as the VP, Head of Procurement. Prior to that, they spent several years at DHL, where they held various procurement roles, including Head of Procurement Cluster, APAC and Regional Sourcing Manager, APAC. Shawn was responsible for strategic sourcing, category strategies, and driving sourcing excellence within the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining DHL, Shawn worked at PSA International Pte Ltd, where they held positions such as Senior Manager and Senior Management Associate. In these roles, they provided advisory services, promoted equipment policies and initiatives, and led projects to reduce operating costs and improve process efficiency. Shawn started their professional career in the Singapore Armed Forces as a Military Policeman. Overall, Shawn has a strong background in procurement, strategic sourcing, and operations management.

Shawn Choo holds a Master of Science (S.M.) degree in Computation for Design and Optimization from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which was obtained in 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Electrical Engineering at the National University of Singapore, graduating in 2005. Before pursuing higher education, Shawn attended Victoria Junior College from 1997 to 1998 and Maris Stella High School from 1986 to 1996. Additionally, they obtained certification in "The Complete Skilled Negotiator" from The Gap Partnership in 2017.
