Rachel Schutte

Rachel Schutte, PE, is a Mechanical Engineer at Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. since September 2016, specializing in HVAC design for hospitals and university lab buildings, alongside energy modeling and submittal reviews. Previously, Rachel served as an MEP Intern at BIG RED DOG Engineering | Consulting and worked as a Program Assistant at the University of Texas RecSports, where responsibilities included policy enforcement and payroll processing. Rachel also gained experience as an intern at Turner Construction Company, participating in an interior renovation project in Houston and later in Austin. Rachel holds a Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus on Building Energy and Environments from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on Sustainable Building Design from the same institution.
