Donya Ahmadi

Donya Ahmadi has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. Donya began as a Control Systems Software Developer at Contronic in 2010, and then worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo from 2012-2014. From 2014-2015, they were a Research Software Engineer at the University of Waterloo/BlackBerry. Donya then moved to Sandvine as a Software Engineer from 2015-2018. In 2018, they began working at BlueCat, where they have held the roles of Senior Technical Manager, Technical Manager, Tech Lead, and Software Engineer. Most recently, they were hired as an Engineering Manager at Shakepay starting in 2022.

Donya Ahmadi obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Islamic Azad University between 2006 and 2011. During this time, they also obtained certifications in Networking Essentials from Mitacs Inc. (January 2013), Teaching Expectation Workshop from the University of Waterloo (May 2012), MATLAB Programming from Tehran Institute of Technology (September 2011), Monitoring by SCADA System SIMATIC Wincc from CONTRONIC (August 2010), and Programmable Logical Controller (PLC) S7 (July 2010). In 2012, they began their Master of Science (M.Sc.) at the University of Waterloo, which they completed in 2014.
