Stella Y. W.

Stella Y. W. has a wealth of professional experience. Stella Y. began their career in 2009 as a Research Associate at the University of Guelph. Stella Y. then moved to Environment Canada as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in 2014. In 2016, they became a Data Scientist at Firmex, where they applied machine learning to business across the organization in a B2B SaaS company. Stella Y. also built and productionized prediction models, data pipelines, and deep learning models with AWS and GCP. In 2017, Stella Y. W. joined Borealis AI as a Machine Learning Researcher. In 2019, they moved to BMO as an Applied Machine Learning Researcher. Most recently, in 2021, they became Co-Founder and Head of Product at Shakudo.

Stella Y. W. earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of M\u00fcnster between 2009 and 2013. Stella Y. also earned a Master in Environment and Sustainability from Lund University between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from various institutions, including Coursera, Google Cloud Certified, and Stanford University, between 2015 and 2018.
