Claire E. Sufrin is a Senior Editor at the Shalom Hartman Institute, responsible for editing *Sources: A Journal of Jewish Ideas* and serving as a Fellow at the Kogod Research Center, alongside faculty responsibilities. Prior to this role, Claire served as an Associate Professor of Instruction and Assistant Director of the Crown Family Center for Jewish and Israel Studies at Northwestern University from 2010 to 2022. Additional teaching positions include lectureships at Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership, a visiting professorship at the University of Notre Dame, and various roles at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Northeastern University, Hebrew College, and Melton Adult Mini-School. Claire earned a PhD in Religious Studies from Stanford University and a BA in Religious Studies from Yale University.
