Erika R. began their work experience in 2005 as a Maintainer (Performance Company Assistant Manager) at CLIMB Theatre Inc. Erika trained staff, managed tour schedules, and provided performance reviews. In 2009, they joined Mall of America as an HR Badging Assistant, where they oversaw the identification process for tenants, conducted interviews, and managed the educational assistance program. In 2011, Erika joined Validity Screening Solutions as a Client Relations Specialist, processing client requests and assisting with data entry. Erika then took on roles such as Client Onboarding Specialist and Account Executive, where they developed client relationships and resolved product and service issues. In 2018, they joined Shamrock Trading Corporation as an HRIS Administrator, where they managed HRIS data, provided reporting, and supported employees with leaves and benefits. Erika later became an HRIS Analyst and is currently serving as the HRIS Manager.

Erika R. obtained a High School Diploma from the International School of the Sacred Heart in 2000. Erika then went on to attend The University of Kansas, where they graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of General Studies degree, focusing on Theatre & Film. In 2016, Erika obtained an FCRA Advanced Certification from NAPBS.
