Shen Wang is a Full Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Shanghai University, specializing in concrete and steel structure design optimization, seismic mitigation technology, and advanced building materials and construction technology since February 2021. Previously, Shen Wang served as Civil Engineer IV at NuScale Power, focusing on the structural design and analysis of the NuScale SMR Reactor Building. Prior to that, as the System Lead Engineer for TerraPower LLC, responsibilities included overseeing civil and structural engineering activities for nuclear safety related structures. Shen Wang also held the position of Senior Civil Engineer and Technical Specialist at Bechtel Power Corporation, contributing to work planning and providing technical guidance within the Central Structures Group. Shen Wang earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University, and both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tongji University.
