Kyu Rhee

Kyu Rhee has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 1996, they worked as an Assistant Chemist for The Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association before moving on to become a Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist at The George Washington University Hospital in 1999. In 1999, they also began working as a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Providence Hospital. From 2002 to 2006, Rhee served as a Sr. Architect at Cerner Corporation before joining UCSD Medical Center as the Director of Lab Informatics, Sr. Manager of Point of Care, Billing, Sp Processing, and Phlebotomy. Kyu later became the Asst Director of Laboratory and Director of Laboratory Informatics at UCSD Medical Center. In 2010, Rhee became the National Laboratory Director at Kaiser Permanente, and in 2013, they joined ACCUMEN Inc. as the Vice President Global Operations. At ACCUMEN Inc., they held various roles, including Vice President / General Manager. In 2021, Rhee became the Executive Director of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai before moving on to their current position as the System Vice President of Laboratory Services at Sharp HealthCare in 2022.

Kyu Rhee holds a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) from Central Michigan University. Kyu also completed a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the University of Northern Virginia - Annandale. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from The George Washington University.
