The board of directors at Sharp has a long and varied history, with members coming from many different industries and educational backgrounds. Some of the companies and organizations that the board members have come from include Julia Chew State Farm, First American Financial Corporation, Grass Clippins', OfficeMax, Sharp Community Medical Group, Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns Minimally Invasive Surgery Center, West Coast Medical Research, West Coast Medical Billing, Villa Rancho Bernardo, Neovision Optometry, Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, Sharp Memorial Hospital, and Sharp Rees Stealy. The board members have also attended many different colleges and universities, such as the University of Oklahoma, Baylor College of Medicine, National University, Miramar Community College, New York Medical College, and the University of California Riverside.
