Sadie Whittaker, Ph.D.

Sadie Whittaker, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Sadie is currently working as the Head of Communications at Shasqi since January 2023. Before this, they founded and served as the CEO of ScienceOne, a consultancy focused on end-to-end drug development, from November 2015. At ScienceOne, they provided expertise in clinical development strategy, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, advocacy relations, and communications.

Prior to ScienceOne, Sadie served as the Chief External Affairs Officer and Head of Clinical Development at Cellevolve since September 2021. From May 2018 to October 2021, they held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at the Solve ME/CFS Initiative. Before that, they worked as the Senior Vice President of Clinical and Medical Affairs at KYNE from July 2014 to November 2015. At KYNE, they led the development of medical affairs, external engagement, and communications strategies for various clients.

In addition to their consultancy and leadership roles, Sadie also gained experience at Amgen. Sadie served as the US Medical Lead for Biosimilars from April 2012 to July 2014. Prior to this, they were the Director of Clinical Development from November 2008 to April 2012 and a Senior Manager of Medical Writing from September 2004 to November 2008.

Sadie Whittaker, Ph.D., completed their education in the field of Biological Sciences at the University of Birmingham from 1997 to 2001. During this time, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Prior to their doctoral studies, Sadie obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Leeds. Sadie completed their undergraduate education from 1993 to 1996.
