Mhira Joy Zambrano

Mhira Joy Zambrano has had a varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Digital Sales Planner for SHE Media. In 2021, they began working as a Filipinx Gender Politics, LGBTQIA+ Issues, & Filipina Women Issues Research Intern for the University of California, Davis, where they were responsible for actualizing a newsletter highlighting queer, femme, and non-binary narratives across the Filipino diaspora, as well as realizing outreach and community events with other LGBTQIA+ and Filipino organizations. In 2020, Mhira Joy Zambrano worked as both a Social Media Director and Social Media Intern for Overachiever Magazine, where they cultivated engagement and an empowering online community for Asian women, led multiple departments in coordinating with partners to develop collaborative digital content, and evolved campaigns and social strategies across social media platforms. Also in 2020, they worked as a Pacific Atrocities Education Intern for the University of California, Davis. Finally, in 2018, they worked as a T.B.T.N. Intersectionality Liaison for the Associated Students of UC Santa Barbara, where they facilitated safe spaces for survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence to combat college rape culture, and educated college communities on the effects of sexual violence within marginalized groups.

Mhira Joy Zambrano received their Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara in 2020. In 2019, they attended ACCENT London.
