Laurence Jollon has a strong background in the finance industry, with a focus on credit research and leveraged finance capital markets. Laurence is currently the Head of Credit Research at Shenkman Capital Management, Inc., a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Co-Head of Leveraged Finance Capital Markets at the same company starting in June 2016. From April 2012 to July 2023, Laurence was a Senior Vice President of Research at Shenkman Capital Management. Before joining Shenkman Capital Management, Laurence worked at Credit Suisse as a Senior Vice President of High Yield Research from June 2010 to April 2012, and at Barclays Investment Bank as a Senior Vice President of High Yield Research from September 2008 to June 2010. Laurence also gained valuable experience at Lehman Brothers, where they held several positions including Vice President of High Yield Research from May 2005 to September 2008, Chief of Staff to the President from May 2003 to May 2005, and Associate in Investment Banking from July 2002 to May 2003. Additionally, Laurence was a Summer Associate in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers in 2001 and started their career as an Analyst in Investment Banking at Ewing Monroe Bemiss & Company from June 1998 to June 2000.
Laurence Jollon completed their education with a diverse range of academic achievements. Starting in their early years, they attended The Green Vale School from 1983 to 1991, where they earned a diploma. Later, Laurence pursued their high school education at Phillips Academy between 1991 and 1994, where they obtained a high school diploma. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Richmond from 1994 to 1998, majoring in History and minoring in Business Administration, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Afterward, Laurence wanted to further enhance their knowledge in business management, so they attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 2000 to 2002, where they received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General.
