Job Description

Summary/Objective

Responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components into finished products, ensuring the accuracy of the assembly process, and performing quality checks to guarantee the final product meets company standards.

Essential Functions

  • Follow written procedures in the assembly of plastic/polymer medical diagnostic devices
  • Maintains batch records for various assemblies
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records of raw materials and finished devices
  • Records and reports problems with quality, process, equipment
  • Recommend improvements to processes as necessary
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to support product manufacture
  • Cross train other individuals in processes as necessary
  • Adhere to policies, work instructions, quality regulations, SOPs, and company guidelines in the effort to always manufacture high-quality diagnostic devices
  • Perform assembly of components working from written instructions, drawings and BOMs
  • Assemble various electronic and mechanical assemblies such as plastic molded components and printed circuit boards
  • Perform product testing and final assembly packaging
  • Perform repair/rework on assemblies
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands require the ability to lift 15kg
  • The physical demands may require standing on your feet for periods of time

Required Education and Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience assembling small plastic components together
  • Experience in clean room manufacturing preferred
  • Experience working with assemblies in a glove box or similar equipment preferred
  • Experience working in a 6S environment preferred
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience preferred
  • Start-up environment experience preferred
  • Follow clean room protocols including good hygiene, PPE gowning, etc
  • Well organized, detail oriented
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manipulate small hand tools, tweezers

Work Authorization/Security-Clearance Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
