Kerry Thompson is an Associate Scientist at Sherlock Biosciences since February 2023, previously holding roles as a Scientist and Associate Scientist at Sense Biodetection Ltd. from September 2020 to February 2023. Kerry completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Warwick from 2016 to 2020, where significant research projects included investigating CRISPR-BEST genome engineering for characterizing the gaburedin biosynthetic pathway and determining the inhibition of glyoxalase 1 in anti-cancer therapeutics. Earlier research experience includes work as an Undergraduate Student Researcher under the supervision of Christophe Corre and funded research through the Undergraduate Research Support Scheme. Prior to pursuing a career in science, Kerry worked in customer support and as a music tutor, providing flute and piano lessons to a diverse group of students.
