Brad Zalewski

Brad Zalewski has extensive experience in the electrical industry, spanning over two decades. Brad started their career at Magna Electrical Corp in 1998, where they served as a Project Manager. In this role, they managed electrical testing and commissioning projects in both Canada and the United States.

In 2006, Brad joined Bechtel Mining & Metals as an Electrical Startup Specialist, where they were responsible for commissioning projects such as the Sohar Aluminium Smelter. Brad continued in this role until 2008 when they took on the position of Electrical High Voltage Area Lead at Bechtel Power Corporation's Elm Road Generating Station. Here, they synchronized a 600 Megawatt generator to the power grid and energized substations ranging from 25 kV to 480 volts.

From 2011 to 2013, Brad worked as an Electrical Technologist at Bechtel Power Corporation, where they served as a Commissioning Manager and Specialist for the ATCO HRTD Project. Brad supervised pre-commissioning activities of substation protection and control buildings and oversaw commissioning activities at green and brown field substations.

In 2014, Brad joined Chemco Electrical Contractors Ltd. as a Relay Tech, where they tested protection relays for main 25 KV incoming substations, as well as in 5 KV distribution substations. Brad also conducted function testing on 5 KV main-tie-main breaker schemes.

The following year, Brad worked as a Relay Tech 3 at Chemco Ltd., where they continued to specialize in relay testing.

In 2016, Brad joined Sigma Power as a Senior Power System Tech. Here, they held the role until 2022 and contributed their expertise in power system technology.

Most recently, Brad Zalewski has taken on the role of Senior Technical Service Lead at Shermco Industries in 2022.

Brad Zalewski attended Paliser Siast from 1995 to 1998, where they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Their field of study during this period was focused on Electrical Engineering Technologies.
