Scott Taylor has a diverse work experience in the energy and engineering industry. Scott began their career at Andritz Automation, where they worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer, focusing on designing and estimating projects in the renewable energy sector. Scott then joined Empac Engineering Ltd as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Office Manager, leading a team and managing engineering projects for municipal and industrial clients.

In 2012, Scott became the Managing Director of Big Sky Generation, where they developed renewable energy projects and provided engineering and consulting services in the energy, utility, industrial, and mining sectors.

Scott later joined AMEC PPA as a Commissioning Manager, overseeing renewable energy projects and substations, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and utility practices. Scott also served as a Program/Engineering Manager, handling HV infrastructure refurbishment projects.

Continuing their career, Scott worked at BBA Field Services as a Commissioning Manager, leading teams through the conceptual, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases of wind farm projects. Scott successfully completed six wind farms totaling 1000 MW in generation.

Scott then joined Maven Consulting Limited as a Senior Project Manager, bringing their expertise in managing complex projects.

Currently, Scott is the Director of Project Management at Shermco Industries Canada Inc., where they are responsible for building and managing the Project Management Office (PMO) for highly complex utility and heavy industry projects.

Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and a focus on delivering successful outcomes for their clients.

Scott Taylor began their education at Seaquam High School, where they received a diploma in 1979. Scott then attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University from 1983 to 1985, where they earned a Technologist Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Following this, Scott pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Lakehead University from 1985 to 1987. In 1995, they attended The Institute for Computer Studies and obtained a Diploma of Computer Software and LAN Management Honors.
