Mark L.

Mark L. has a diverse range of work experience in the IT industry. Mark started their career in 2006 as a Customer Support role at Musgrave Retail Systems, providing assistance to over 500 stores nationwide. Mark then worked as an IT Support at ASA Marketing, supporting the company's offices in Cork, Dublin, and Lisburn.

In 2011, Mark worked as a Systems Technician at Dr. D Studios, supporting the personnel working on the movie "Happy Feet 2". Mark then joined Flying Bark Productions as a Systems Administrator, where they administered and maintained the company's core infrastructure and provided desktop and application support to end-users.

Mark later transitioned to Allity Aged Care, where they held two roles. First, as a Service Desk Analyst, they provided training and leadership to the Service Desk team, managed Microsoft Windows Server and key databases, and conducted administration of the Data Warehouse. Mark then became a Developer, upgrading the purchase order system and developing a reporting suite for workforce analysis.

After that, Mark worked at Haventec as a Cloud Engineer, deploying and managing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS. Mark built and maintained automated CI/CD pipelines and utilized infrastructure as code using Java. Following this, they joined Fat Zebra as a DevOps Engineer, ensuring PCI compliance, working with development teams, and migrating services to AWS ECS and Fargate for improved reliability and performance.

Most recently, Mark has been working at Sherpa Delivery as a DevOps Engineer. Mark'sresponsibilities include building and maintaining the GCP cloud infrastructure, deploying applications to Kubernetes using Ansible and Bitbucket Pipelines, and implementing horizontal pod auto-scaling.

Overall, Mark L. has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of IT support, infrastructure administration, cloud engineering, and DevOps.

Mark L. attended Munster Technological University from 2002 to 2007. Mark obtained a BSc (Hons) in Software Development during this time. In May 2023, they also obtained the CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification from The Linux Foundation.
