Val Holtrop has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the logistics and international business development field. Currently, Val is the Sr Director of Trade and Global Compliance at Sherwood Food Distributors. Prior to that, Val held the position of Manager of International Business Development at Argonaut Kennedy LLC from 2005 to 2023. Before that, Val worked at Schreiber Foods Inc as the Manager of International Logistics from 2001 to 2023. Val's career began at Total Logistic Control, where they served as the Managing Director of International from 1996 to 2001.

Val Holtrop holds a Master's degree in International Business from Aquinas College - Grand Rapids, which was obtained from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, Val has obtained several certifications including the Master Export Specialist certification from NCBFAA in May 2018. Val is also a Certified Customs Specialist and a Certified Export Specialist, both obtained from NCBFAA. Furthermore, Val holds a license as a Customs Broker, which was obtained from the US Treasury Department.
