Corey Flynn

Corey Flynn has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Corey started their career in 2003 as a Research Associate/Technician at Tufts University, conducting behavioral research on avian visual cognition. Corey then worked as a Research Associate/Technician at Bucknell University, where they conducted field research on spatial learning and memory in honey bees.

In 2005, Corey began their PhD program at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on the molecular influence on initial circuit formation in the developing brain. During this time, they also acted as a consultant on various image analysis projects within the biological sciences.

After completing their PhD, Corey worked at the Broad Institute as a Bioinformatics Scientist. Corey built tools and libraries for the analysis of gene expression data and contributed to the development of python code libraries used for biomedical analyses.

Corey led a team in building applications for the advertising, television, and movie industries. Later that year, Corey became the first Director of Data Science at Shift Media, responsible for designing and implementing efficient data collection and analysis strategies to drive business value.
