Daniel Kim has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Daniel most recently joined Shift as a Senior Software Engineer in December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at CarLotz where they held two roles, starting as a Data Entry Clerk in June 2014 and later transitioning to a Senior Software Engineer and Solutions Architect in July 2016. During their time at CarLotz, Daniel primarily worked on projects involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure services, focusing on developing email parsing for lead ingestion, setting up ETL services, and facilitating monetary transactions within the CRM and accounting software. Before CarLotz, Daniel briefly worked as a Data Entry Clerk at Muster Software in June 2014.

Daniel Kim attended Westfield High School from 2008 to 2012, where they did not earn any specific degree or field of study. Following that, they enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2012 to 2016, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. Furthermore, in December 2022, they received the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft, and in March 2023, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate certification, also from Microsoft.
