Carlos Pantoja

Carlos Pantoja, MD, PhD, currently serves as the Sr. Director of Clinical Research in Oncology at Vir Biotechnology, Inc. since September 2024. Carlos has also been an Advisor at Shifthive since June 2020. Previously, Carlos held positions as Clinical Research Director at Sanofi and Medical Director at Amunix Pharmaceuticals. Prior to these roles, Carlos was a Scientific Advisor at Circumvent Pharmaceuticals and Medical Director at Perspectum Ltd, where responsibilities included both clinical project management and medical advising. Academic contributions include a Visiting Professorship at Universidade de Brasília and a Visiting Scientist role at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence. Carlos completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley and holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, as well as a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidade de Brasília.
