Alex Frey has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. They began their career as an Associate Analyst at T. Rowe Price, where they gained experience in equity research and portfolio risk management. They then worked at Orbis Investment Advisory, analyzing market research and assisting with the development of website features. Following this, Alex pursued an MBA at Harvard Business School.
After completing their MBA, Alex joined Walmart eCommerce as a Principal Product Manager, working on the Walmart Exchange platform and achieving significant growth in ad revenue. They later joined Ivy Publications, LLC as the Founder, where they wrote a successful investing book and developed a website.
Alex then worked at Krux Digital, which was later acquired by Salesforce, where they served as a Product Consultant. They subsequently became the Director of Product - Data Science at Salesforce, leading the development of data science and machine learning features.
In 2018, Alex joined Vacasa as the Director of Product Management, growing cross-functional teams and making significant contributions to revenue through the launch of machine learning pricing models and an email personalization system. They also contributed to Vacasa's growth as the largest single channel for direct-share.
Most recently, Alex served as the Vice President of Product Management at Shiftkey.
Alex Frey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, which was obtained between the years 2002 and 2006. They also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School, completing their studies from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Alex has obtained a variety of certifications in the field of Machine Learning from Coursera, including topics such as Convolutional Neural Networks, Deep Learning Specialization, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects, all in the year 2018.
