Jason Jones has a diverse work experience, starting in 1998 as a General Manager at Staples, where they worked until 2013. Jason then joined Microsoft, initially as an Assistant Store Manager from 2013 to 2015, then as a Store Manager from 2015 to 2017, and finally as an Education Solutions Lead from 2020 to 2022. Most recently, they joined Shinola in 2022 as a Community Development Manager at Shinola Woodward.

Jason Jones graduated from Detroit Martin Luther King Jr. Sr. High School in 1997 with a Diploma in College Prep and Liberal Arts. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained multiple certifications from LinkedIn and Microsoft between 2020 and 2023.
