Laura Beth Durand

Laura Beth Durand has a varied work experience, beginning with an internship at Austin Woman Magazine in 2010. In 2012, they began working as an Office Manager at Texas Legislative Service, where they managed accounts, troubleshot site and accounts payable/receivable for 700+ clients accounts, and edited photos for roster books and web book imagery. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Graphic Artist at Whole Foods Market, creating and managing marketing and signage while partnering with Regional Marketing teams to create custom signage for print and web. In 2018, they began working as a UX/UI Product Designer at CognitiveScale, where they were responsible for concepting, wireframing, iterating, and designing high-fidelity prototypes based on design objectives. From 2019 to present, they have been working as a Senior Product Designer and Product Designer at Shipwell, where they have been responsible for full-stack end-to-end design processes, live prototype design solutions in Figma, and facilitating and participating in brainstorms, design reviews, workshops, and design alignment. Additionally, they have been a Senior Designer Consultant at Mondo since 2019, where they have been responsible for ideating and concepting board games and puzzles, creating design elements for games, and coordinating with Creative Director, Project Manager, Licensing and Marketing to gather design requirements/parameters to pitch and create games to global companies.

Laura Beth Durand's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Art and Design with a focus in Fibers from Texas State University between 2007 and 2010, an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from Austin Community College between 2013 and 2016, and an incomplete Fine/Studio Arts, General program from Arizona State University between 2006 and 2007.
