Chris Farwell

Chris Farwell worked as a Senior Scientist at Shiru from December 2020 to the present. Prior to that, they were a Fermentation Scientist at Zymergen, Inc. from August 2018 to November 2020. Before joining Zymergen, Inc., Chris served as a Scientist specializing in high throughput screening and assay development at Intrexon Corporation from February 2015 to August 2018.

Chris Farwell earned a Master's Degree in Marine Sciences from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry at Caltech, where they completed their studies from 2010 to 2015.
