Robert Irish

Robert Irish has extensive work experience in various legal roles. Robert started their career as an Associate in the Securitization Group at Mayer Brown, where they worked on complex securitization deals with major financial institutions. Robert then moved to Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Alston & Bird L.L.P., where they represented companies in international trade and customs matters.

After that, Irish joined Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. as the Chief Representative of their Shanghai office, where they handled matters related to the setup and acquisition of Chinese companies. Robert then worked as a Principal at Gyre, a consultancy specializing in advising start-ups in China, and assisted in the negotiation and sale of businesses to multinational companies.

Irish later joined PwC Legal as a Director, leading an international M&A legal team. Robert worked closely with other professionals to help clients structure and negotiate corporate strategies, particularly in Taiwan and China. Currently, they serve as the Chief Legal Officer at SHL Medical, the world's largest privately-owned designer and manufacturer of drug delivery systems.

Throughout their career, Irish has consistently demonstrated leadership and expertise in various legal domains, including corporate governance, contracting, and conducting business in China.

Robert Irish attended Tufts University from 1988 to 1991, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/International Relations. Robert then pursued further education at the University of Wisconsin Law School from 1995 to 1999, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law. In addition, during the same period, they also attended the Wisconsin School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance. Robert completed a dual degree program at UW-Madison, receiving a JD/MBA in Finance. Between 1992 and 1994, Robert Irish attended the Mandarin Training Center at Taiwan Normal University, although the degree name and field of study for this period were not provided.
