Xabier Basañez

Xabier Basañez is an experienced Project Manager at SHL Medical since June 2021, following a notable tenure as a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Innovation Technology Machinery from December 2015 to April 2021. Xabier has led the design and development of custom manufacturing machines for various industries and has expertise in providing cost-effective engineering solutions. Previous roles include Lead Product Optimization Engineer at SiMMo3D, where Xabier focused on additive manufacturing of patient-specific organ anatomy, and Co-Founder of V.I. Solutions, which developed an innovative contact lens handling device. Xabier also contributed to academic research as an undergraduate researcher at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering was obtained.
