Yanick Roy

Yanick Roy is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and operations management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering Programs at Shopify since April 2021, Roy has previously held key leadership positions at Electronic Arts (EA), including Senior Director of Operations for Motive Studios and Studio Director for BioWare Montreal. Roy also contributed as a Principal Project Manager at BioWare and has a solid background in product development and project management from Intuit, where roles included Product Development Manager for QuickBooks Payroll and French Products Manager. Starting a career as an Analyst-Programmer at Dolmen Software, Roy holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science with a Minor in Management from Université de Sherbrooke and a DEC in Pure Sciences from Cégep Joliette - De Lanaudière.
