Rathna Kosanam

Rathna is focusing on building a great e-commerce user experience and enhancing Shoppable’s projects and product strategy. She is currently overseeing the product and technology teams and focuses her approach on making data-driven product decisions. She is an entrepreneur from Silicon Valley with specialization in cutting edge digital consumer technology for web and mobile initiatives. She honed her craft as a leader in Product Design & Technology organizations by building and leading diverse teams of Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers.

Previously Rathna was the VP & Product Lead at Bank of the West and Product Director at Walmart.com where she is known for delivering high quality and innovative features for consumers. She has also held positions at Google including as the Technical Product Manager & Software Engineer. Rathna has a track record for transforming existing organizations to operate more effectively in agile environments and guiding with the processes in place.

She started her passion for technology and building products when her father Sunil Kosanam had gifted her a laptop at age of eight and he started teaching her Windows XP 2000 and how to code in Unix, Linux and Java. She also dedicates her success and motivation for being a woman in technology to her father who is a big technology leader himself and who helped teach her technology skills. She is also avid technologist and a speaker for women in technology, leadership and product. She mentored many women across her career in leadership, coding, technology and product.
