James Kenler

James Kenler has worked for multiple companies in a variety of roles since 1998. Their first job was as a Residential Computer Coordinator at Oberlin College from 1998-2001. James then worked as a Systems Assistant at the University of Chicago in 2001. After that, they were an Owner of Flameshovel Records, LLC from 2001-2009, a Director of New Business Development at Direction Tour Marketing from 2009-2011, and a Senior Manager and Director of Marketing Technology & Operations at CareerBuilder from 2011-2015. James then worked as a Head of Marketing at Envoy Global from 2015-2023, where they grew the team from 3 to 11 full-time members and oversaw dramatic growth across all measures. James is currently the Head of Marketing at ShoppingGives.

James Kenler attended Friends Academy from 1991 to 1997, followed by Oberlin College from 1997 to 2000 where they received a BA in Philosophy & Theirtory, East Asian Studies & Film Studies. In 1999, they also attended New York University for Film Studies. In 2012, they obtained a Certified SCRUM Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance.
