Lauren Stone

Lauren Stone has extensive work experience in the education and international relations fields. Lauren most recently worked at Shorelight as the Executive Director of Partner Operations, where they were responsible for managing a portfolio of universities seeking to increase international student enrollment. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director of the International Accelerator Program at Shorelight, leading the joint venture with USC to grow and support the international student population at the institution.

Before their time at Shorelight, Lauren held the position of Vice President of Global Business Development at Laureate Online Education, where they oversaw global business operations and partnerships for three online institutions. Lauren also served as the Executive Director of the Center for International Programs at Walden University, where they were responsible for international growth and student experiences.

Earlier in their career, Lauren held various leadership positions at Alliance Abroad Group, overseeing program operations and financial management for an international staffing and cultural exchange company. Lauren also served as the Director of International Operations at Prometric, managing testing centers worldwide. Additionally, they worked at Aspect Language Schools, developing new business lines and overseeing the J-1 Visa Program.

Lauren has experience in the non-profit sector as well. Lauren served as the Vice President of Operations at International Education Forum, managing program operations and staff. Lauren also worked as the Associate Director at the Foundation for a Civil Society, heading operations and overseeing the Democracy Network Program in Eastern Europe.

Lauren's early career included roles at the US Information Agency, where they served as a Program Officer and Assistant Cultural Attaché, coordinating activities and grant competitions in the East European region.

Throughout their career, Lauren has demonstrated strategic leadership, program management, and partnership development skills in the education and international relations sectors.

Lauren Stone has an extensive education history with several degrees and certifications. Lauren pursued an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Walden University between 2012 and 2014, focusing on the field of Business. Prior to that, they obtained a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia | SIPA between 1987 and 1989, specializing in Latin America and Public Policy Management. Lauren also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Literature and Dramatic Arts, which they earned from the University of California, Berkeley, spanning from 1981 to 1985.

In addition to their degrees, Lauren Stone has obtained a certification as an icEdge Certified Instructor from icEdge (Intercultural Communications Edge) in October 2021.
