Rosalind Reid

Rosalind Reid has a diverse range of work experience in the field of science writing and communication. Rosalind began their career at American Scientist, where they worked as an Associate Editor and later became the Managing Editor. Rosalind was responsible for editing and managing scientific content during their tenure there. In 2008, they joined Harvard University as the Executive Director of the Initiative in Innovative Computing, where they oversaw interdisciplinary education and research programs in computational science and engineering. Rosalind also served as the Assistant Dean for External Programs and later became the Executive Director of the Institute for Applied Computational Science. During their time at Harvard, they played a crucial role in developing the curriculum and providing research opportunities in applied computational science. In 2012, they joined the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing as the Program Director, and in 2013, they were promoted to Executive Director. In this role, they led initiatives to improve the quality and quantity of science news accessible to the public. Currently, they are associated with the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School as an Associate and contributing editor for Tech Science. Rosalind Reid's work experience reflects their dedication to science communication and education.

Rosalind Reid pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from Syracuse University, which they completed between 1973 and 1975. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Duke University and obtained a Master of Public Policy Sciences degree in 1981.
