Karen Martinez

Karen Martinez, CPMSM, CPCS has extensive experience in medical staff services. Karen is currently the Market Director Medical Staff Services at ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte & Punta Gorda since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the Manager, Medical Staff Services at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center from September 2013 to April 2022. Karen also held the position of Manager, Medical Staff Services at Venice Regional Medical Ctr from 2009 to 2015.

Karen Martinez, CPMSM, CPCS attended Saint Cecilia High School in Kearny, NJ from 1972 to 1976, where they pursued a College Prep program. Karen later received additional certifications from NAMSS - National Association Medical Staff Services, becoming a NAMSS Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) and a NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) in December 2002. Additionally, they studied Medical Technology at Rutgers University - Newark, although the start and end years are not specified.
