Karim Ghanem

Karim Ghanem has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Karim is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at ShorePoint Health in Port Charlotte & Punta Gorda since July 2023. Prior to this, Karim worked at HCA Healthcare as the Vice President Operations from May 2022 to June 2023 and as the Director of Performance Improvement for HCA Capital Division from December 2020 to April 2022. Karim also worked at TeamHealth as the Lead APC from January 2019 to November 2020. Before that, Karim held the position of Lead PA-C at Henrico Doctors' Hospital - Henrico, Parham, Retreat, and Hanover with ApolloMD from July 2017 to November 2020. Karim also worked as a Physician Assistant Certified at EmCare from January 2017 to November 2020. Karim's earlier work experience includes roles as a Physician Assistant Student at Wake Forest School of Medicine from May 2014 to May 2016, and as a Certified Nurse Assistant at AllMed Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from May 2012 to June 2013. Karim also served as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Duke Raleigh Hospital from June 2010 to June 2012, and additionally from January 2011 to June 2012. Karim began their career as a Legal Assistant at Beales Law Office from May 2009 to August 2009, and as a Waiter at Rose's Pizza from June 2006 to July 2009.

Karim Ghanem has a diverse education history. Karim obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Human Biology from North Carolina State University in 2013. From 2007 to 2009, they attended the Governor School of Math and Science in Keysville, Virginia, where they earned a High School Degree and an Associate's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. In 2014, Karim pursued further studies at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, completing a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant in 2016. Currently, Karim is enrolled in the Florida International University - College of Business, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General, which is expected to be completed in 2023. Additionally, Karim holds several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC). Karim also has certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
