We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist that wants to take their knowledge and help grow our venture capital backed business. Someone who is an independent thinker, creative, extremely organized, detail oriented, can prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment, and has a customer service/do what it takes mindset is the ideal candidate. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will engage in and assist in coordinating all Supply Chain activities. You will be responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, planning and issuance of purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance levels, and overall inventory management.

As our Supply Chain Specialist, your responsibilities with include, but are not limited to the following:

· Communicate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, and delivery to build strong relationships and strive towards cost saving opportunities

· Assist in managing the supply chain, ensuring efficient transactions and transparency of spending

· Purchase parts utilizing multiple system tools

· Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies

· Implement strategic sourcing alternatives; identifies and implements cost saving strategies throughout supply chain areas

· Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenses

· Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency

· Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors (ie Quality, Lead Time, Cost)

· Perform cost and scenario analysis, and conduct benchmarking

· Negotiate contracts with suppliers as needed

· Determine quantity and timing of deliveries

· Re-quote or re-source materials as the market conditions change leading the process for evaluating, qualifying, and sourcing suppliers

· Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities

· Manage excess and obsolete inventory

· Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques

We believe to be successful as a Supply Chain Specialist, you will have the following:

· Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years purchasing experience required, experience with med device preferred

· Previous ERP software experience required, NetSuite experience preferred

· Knowledge of legal terminology and language relating to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts

· Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountability

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency with inventory management and optimization

· Knowledge of continuous improvement processes or methods

· Strong working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge
