Sam Lim

SVP, Cardiopulmonary Clinical Development at ShouTi

Dr. Lim is a Respiratory Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he was Chief Development Officer, Experimental Drug Development Centre which is part of Singapore’s Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR). Before that, Dr. Lim was Vice President and Head of China Development at Janssen China R&D, and Vice President and Respiratory Therapy Area Head at AstraZeneca Global Medicines Development, China. Working primarily in respiratory medicines, he has also held global and regional roles with GSK and Merck. In addition, Dr. Lim has held a number of academic roles, including Professor, Office of Clinical Science of DUK-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore, and Chief Operating Officer of Singapore Clinical Research Institute. Dr. Lim received his M.D. from Monash University in Melbourne and was awarded a fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Australia. He earned his Ph.D. studying asthma at the Imperial College School of Medicine of London University, and his MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
