Eugen Popescu

Eugen Popescu has worked in the software development field since 2006. Theirfirst job was as a C++ Programmer at ITC Networks, where they were responsible for bug fixing, performance profiling, and network traffic analysis. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Freelance Web Developer and then as a Senior PHP Developer at AMOMA.com, where they developed the internal management core and integrated XML webservices. From 2014 to 2016, Eugen was a Software Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Bitterstrawberry and Irresistible Me, respectively. At Bitterstrawberry, they optimized and refined the implementation, found solutions for scaling while maintaining good response time, and researched solutions based on the latest technologies. At Irresistible Me, they worked on Magento development and optimization. In 2017, Eugen held two positions: Software Architect Team Lead at Twispay and Software Architect at Crossrider Plc. At Twispay, they were responsible for three projects written in Silex, Laravel 5.2, and Yii1, while at Crossrider Plc they researched and developed various prototypes and prepared for High Availability. Since 2018, Eugen has been the Development Team Lead at Celilo Group Media, where they are in charge of a team of mixed developers and the Chinookbook projects. Finally, Eugen has been the Project Manager Technical Lead at Cherry since 2022, where they are responsible for project management, solution architecture, deployment management, code reviewing, and mentoring.

Eugen Popescu holds a Licentiate degree in Information Technology Project Management from Universitatea Româno-Americană din București, which they obtained between 2017 and 2020. Prior to this, they studied Computer Science at Politehnica University of Bucharest. Eugen also holds a High School degree in Informatics from National Colege of Informatics Tudor Vianu, Bucharest, which they obtained between 1996 and 2000. Additionally, they hold a CCNA certification from Cisco.
