Junho Whang

Junho Whang is an experienced Senior/Lead MySQL DBA at Shutterfly Inc. since July 2013, specializing in supporting high transactional databases with expertise in AWS deployment, sharded EC2 MySQL, RDS Aurora, as well as automation and monitoring tasks. Prior to Shutterfly, Junho worked at Verizon Business from May 2006 to October 2012 in database administration for Oracle, MySQL, DB2, and SQL Server. Additional experience includes contracting as a DBA at HP from 2004 to 2006, serving as a DBA for AltaVista from May 2001 to April 2004, and holding a position as an Oracle DBA at SayIt.com in 2000. Junho holds a Master's degree in Materials Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an AB in Engineering Science/Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
