Aderonke Ajibola AAT, B.Sc, ACA, MBA,ACMA,CGMA,Ex-Big Four

Aderonke Ajibola has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and auditing. Aderonke started their career as an Audit Intern at E.O Ajibola & Co. (Chartered Accountants) and then worked as a Chartered Trainee at BvS Professional Services. At both roles, they focused on building and evaluating internal control systems and providing accounting and business advice to clients.

Aderonke later joined Basicals as an Associate II, where they debated the applicability of IFRS to clients' businesses, provided technical accounting advice, and assessed the design and implementation of controls.

Aderonke then moved to PwC as an Audit Associate, where they gained experience in auditing and verifying the accuracy of financial reports.

Aderonke further advanced their career at EY, where they started as a Junior Associate/Staff Accountant before being promoted to a Senior Associate and eventually an Audit Manager. In these roles, they supervised junior auditors, led audit teams, applied risk and control concepts, and communicated audit results to upper management.

Aderonke then joined mPharma as a Country Finance Manager, responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. Aderonke also served as an Internal Control Manager, assessing internal control weaknesses and developing procedures to address risks. Additionally, they took on the role of Financial Controller, analyzing financial data, maintaining financial records, and ensuring transparency and accuracy in financial statements.

Currently, Aderonke is working at Shuttlers as the Head of Finance. Their responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, issuing financial information and annual audited statements, reporting financial results to the management team, and maximizing return on investments.

Throughout their career, Aderonke has acquired several qualifications, including AAT, B.Sc, ACA, MBA, ACMA, CGMA, and they have a wealth of experience working in the Big Four accounting firms.

Aderonke Ajibola has a diverse education history with a focus on accounting and finance. Aderonke obtained their CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA in 2021. In 2020, they received the EY Innovation - Agile Badge from EY.

Aderonke completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Investment from Ahmadu Bello University between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Accounting from the University of Lagos, graduating between 2006 and 2010.

Additionally, Aderonke became a member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria in 2013. Aderonke also holds the certification of Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, which they achieved in 2012. Furthermore, they became an Associate Accounting Technician (AAT) in 2008, also from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Their educational journey started at Mount Zion Academy Secondary School, where they completed their Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in Commerce between 1999 and 2005.
