Aécio Guerra has a vast work experience in the field of programming and consulting. Aécio started their career in 2001 as an Analyst Programmer Outsourcing at Companhia de Seguros Mundial Confianca SA. Aécio then worked as an Analyst Senior at Bradesco in 2002, where they were responsible for analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, and maintaining batch and online systems. In 2003, they joined CGD as an Analyst Programmer Outsourcing, where they continued to work on system development, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance. Aécio also worked in the same role at Direção Geral de Informação e Tributação Aduaneiras, contributing to the development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of systems in a UNIX environment. Aécio also had a consultancy role at CGD, where they worked on SIBS operations and management system, and at Estado Maior da Força Aérea, contributing to the development and implementation of an information and materials management system for the Air Force. Aécio became a partner owner at Clínica Dentária de Monte Abraão in 2009. Aécio later joined Montepio in 2007 as an Analyst Programmer Outsourcing, working on client systems. After that, they worked at CGD again as a Senior Consultant, focusing on the implementation and maintenance of a card identification system. Aécio finally joined SIBS in 2015 as an Analyst Programmer Outsourcing, where they worked on various systems like MBNet, MBWay, and Geoblocking. Throughout their work experience, Aécio has gained expertise in programming languages such as Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, and TSO, as well as various systems and platforms.

Aécio Guerra completed their Bachelor's degree in Ciências da Computação e Informática at Universidade Salvador from 1989 to 1990. Aécio then pursued further education and obtained a Licentiate degree in Ciências da Computação e Informática from Universidade Católica do Salvador between 1991 and 1994.
