João Cruz

João Cruz started their work experience in 2018 at EY where they worked in the role of Advisory Services Cybersecurity. Their responsibilities included providing system administration and security support for a public health care client, as well as configuring and maintaining Firewall's Checkpoint / Forcepoint and Cisco switches. João also implemented a Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool (Eramba) and developed standards, policies, and processes based on ISO / IEC 27001, 27005, and SWIFT CSP for a banking sector client. In 2019, João joined SIBS as a Security Analyst, where they are currently employed.

João Cruz has an education history that includes a Master's degree in Information Security from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. João obtained this degree from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Degree in Information Technologies from the same institution, from 2013 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, João has acquired additional certifications. João obtained the "Autopsy Basics and Hands On" certification from Basis Technology in May 2020. João also holds two certifications from Fortinet, namely the "Fortinet's Network Security Expert (NSE) - NSE 1 Network Security Associate" and "Fortinet's Network Security Expert (NSE) - NSE 2 Network Security Associate" certifications, both obtained in May 2020.
