Simona Zaccone's work experience includes their role as an R&D - Print Head & Ink Development Engineer at SICPA starting in 2022. Prior to that, they had internship roles at the University of Catanzaro and the Technical University of Denmark during their master's degree studies. In these roles, they focused on the development and automation of microfluidic platforms for cellular screening. Their responsibilities included CAD design, computational simulations, and the use of laboratory equipment such as microscopes and profilometers. Simona also gained experience in micromachining and 3D printing.
Simona Zaccone pursued their education at various institutions. From 2019 to 2021, they attended Università 'Magna Graecia' di Catanzaro and obtained a Laurea Magistrale LM degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Simona also studied at the same university from 2014 to 2019 and completed a Laurea Triennale degree in Computer and Biomedical Engineering. Simona became certified as a "Be a SOLIDWORKS Collaborative Mechanical Designer" by Dassault Systèmes in October 2022. In June 2022, they achieved the "Certified 3DEXPERIENCE 3D Creator - Associate" certification from the same institution. Simona also earned the "Certified 3DEXPERIENCE Collaborative Business & Industry Innovator - Associate" certification in May 2022. Moreover, they obtained the qualification of "Abilitazione all'esercizio della professione di Ingegnere Industriale Sez. A" from Università della Calabria in December 2021. Additionally, Simona holds an "Attestato di Partecipazione al corso per la 'Progettazione ed Implementazione di una Sala Ibrida'" from the Associazione Italiana Ingegneri Clinici, obtained in May 2019. Simona also participated in the "19° Convegno Nazionale Associazione Italiana Ingegneri Clinici (AIIC)" and received an "Attestato di Participazione" from the same institution in May 2019.
