Hrefna Thoroddsen

Hrefna Thoroddsen is a business executive who currently serves as the Vice President of People & Culture at Sidekick. Hrefna has over two decades of experience working in human resources and has previously held senior positions at deCODE genetics and Össur.

Thoroddsen began their career in 2000 as an HR/Payroll Specialist at Eimskip. Hrefna quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to Global Product Manager - Feet at Össur in 2008. In this role, they were responsible for managing the life cycle of the company's prosthetic feet product line. This included developing global product line strategies, creating business cases for new products, and overseeing their development and launch.

In 2016, Thoroddsen left Össur to join deCODE genetics as Director of Human Resources. In this role, they were responsible for the life cycle management of the company's prosthetic feet product line. This included working on global product line strategies, creation of business cases for new products, and following them through development and to support markets in their launch efforts.

Thoroddsen joined Sidekick as Vice President of People & Culture in 2021. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company's HR initiatives and overseeing its employee development programs.

Hrefna Thoroddsen has a M.Sc. in international business from Copenhagen Business School and a B.Sc. in business from Háskóli Íslands.

Hrefna Thoroddsen reports to Tryggvi Thorgeirsson, CEO & co-Founder. Hrefna Thoroddsen works with Pamela Stahl - Chief Commercial Officer, North America, Olafur Viggosson - Chief Product Officer, and Atli Knutsson - COO.
